Enterprise Network

For organizations with more than 25 users, or those that have special needs such as extra storage, heavy database usage, or virtualization, our standard network bundle might not be enough. For these power-hungry applications, we've developed what we call the Enterprise Network bundle. This package includes:

  • An Atlas Enterprise Server configured with Windows Small Business Server 2008 (or, if you need SQL Server, upgrade to SBS 2008 Premium).
  • Email and shared calendaring for your organization using Microsoft Exchange Server, installed onsite or hosted by a third-party vendor.
  • Centralized storage of user documents and profiles, allowing users’ desktop configuration to automatically follow them to any system on the network.
  • Standard system configuration, software distribution, and user account control through the use of Group Policy and Windows Distribution Services.
  • Daily backup to an external hard drive using Symantec Backup Exec software. The backup drive will be rotated weekly to our secure offsite storage location (a small monthly fee applies for this service).
  • Centralized anti-virus and anti-spyware software delivered to all systems on the network; at your discretion, anti-virus can be managed from your server or delivered and managed online by Atlas.
  • Hosted anti-spam and email anti-virus service, and email failover (monthly fee applies).
  • An enhanced version of the Atlas firewall which provides complete VPN functionality for full-time remote users and supports dual redundant Internet connections and network access control.
  • Business-class wired and wireless networking equipment.
  • 24x7 active system monitoring to ensure your server and desktop computers are online and running smoothly, including regular maintenance and service level guarantees (monthly fee applies).

The Enterprise Network is usually paired with a Standard Desktop for most users, upgraded to our Specialty Workstation for any users who will be doing heavy-duty analysis or programming. Atlas can also provide printers and multifunction devices that print, scan, and fax.
